Fungi Book SAL
I finished this little needlework book a few months ago. Pretty much time to take some pictures and share this, don't you think ??? I actually did try to take pictures but they never turned out well. Finally I have respectable ones to show.
I have always loved making little books. When I was making more dolls, many of them were engaged in reading. No surprize when I saw this, of course I had to do it. It was a Stitch Along (SAL) at the time, so you would receive the next steps every two weeks or so, until the end, when you got the instructions for putting all your hard work together.
Living on the Rainbow hosts SAL's and her lessons are very well put together, so I think even a confident beginner, taking their time, could do this, with maybe a local friend to help and with the assembly. When you visit her shop on Etsy, you will find a ton of inspiration. She likes to do a lot of 3D projects, as well as others, so much fun.
I am also signed up and working on two other SAL's. One will be finished soon, the other we will still be working on it until after the New Year.
Here are the Busy Elves. and we can't forget Mrs. Claus, always busy in the kitchen baking up her sweets. You can still sign up for any of the SAL's, there is no cut off for being available. When the time runs out for the SAL that's currently running, you can still buy it and work at your own pace. Besides the ones I've mentioned, she has others to choose from.
And now the pictures, enjoy.....
Olena does have someone on Etsy that provides the small accessories in a kit for books that have embellishments. I don't know the availabllity of them, but fairly certain that they ar still available. Lady Revenge Crafts. I checked her shop, and she has closed until January 15th 2025.
I had these charms in my stash, as well as the book corners, but this is an example of what a kit might look like.
Here are a a couple of the inside pages. I have never done a book in this form before, so don't look too closely, you will find a little mistake here and there. I prefer to call those "design features".
