While I don’t often post on controversial topics because of the arguments that inevitably will ensue, I decided to just briefly touch on this whole oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.
I’m not going to get into what and why this happened or who is to blame, there is enough of that going around. What I think is more important is for everyone out there to really see what is happening and do whatever in their own small way to raise the awareness. Here is a link to a live stream to see what is happening and the amount of oil that continues to flow into the gulf. This stream was ordered by President Obama to be kept online 24 hrs a day so the public can see for themselves at any time, what is happening and what is being done to stop this insane flow of oil.
Live feed of the oil disaster.
It breaks my heart to see the damage being done to the wild life and environment and I praise the attempts of those doing what they can to help those poor marine animals and birds that call that area their home. Let us hope that something will happen very soon and instead of the politicians and government agencies wasting time pointing their collective fingers at each other, get down to fixing the problem at hand.
If you have a blog and feel so inclined please add this link to your blog and help spread the feed to others. It’s a small thing but it’s something at least. They say “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Can anyone look at this picture and not feel sick inside to see what is happening to the innocent creatures and waters of our world.
This is so sad. The Gulf Coast has had more than enough disaster.
