Not this Sam and Dave, however I could listen to this Sam and Dave for the afternoon while working on my dolls, no problem there. Yes these links will and do, date me. But I can guarantee there are a bunch of you who won’t be able to help yourselves and be transported back in time to the 60’s, come on, admit it…;o)

I have no idea why I named these Jesters Sam and Dave, but I do love the oldies when music was music. Perhaps I was channelling them just a little. Sam in this case is the bigger Jester, and sorry Dave, you kind of got cheated on the whole body thing. I made this Jester back in 2010 and loved it so much then, I knew eventually I would make another version of it.
So here we are in 2015 with this new Jester and I think he/they turned out so good, every time I look at the pictures or walk past them in the other room, I can’t help but look. The fabrics just make them pop.
A little close up of Sam and then Dave. My friend and I went over to Salt Spring Island a couple of weeks ago and I came back with the large size turquoise beads around Sam’s legs and Dave’s head.
I tried to go easy on the embellishments, but of course they screamed at me to loosen the reins a bit, so I did. They jingle like crazy, they sparkle and shine. There are beaded trims and shiny ones too, and all together they make beautiful music.
I have pictures of 3 more Jesters to post very soon, and then one more Jester themed part of my display, so do come again and see what’s jingling over here.
Wow Ramona this doll is awesome. Glad that you decided to let loose your reins.
