The name Sooke comes from our First Nations people and in their language is spelled T'Sou-ke. I must go to the Sooke Museum and learn more about how Sooke developed. I grew up on the south island, but not in this area. I lived in Victoria and Sooke was a place we went in the summer to camp, go the potholes to swim and just enjoy the solitude of the forest.
