Another great find

I'm not one to go to garage sales. I also don't have garage sales. I just never have time and I'm capable of bringing enough stuff home without the assistance of more temptations... When I have something to part with, I usually just give things away to someone who wants or needs them. If I don't have anyone in mind to ask, I send things to the thrift store. I sometimes will put things on the sidewalk out front and offer them to someone that will give it a good home. That's worked well.... ;o) Well yesterday it was my turn to find something that I thought was pretty great. Being a dollmaker you're always on the lookout for props. When I was heading off to work I turned the corner, and there in front of the house on the corner was this great sled, and fortunately nobody was behind me when I came to such an abrupt stop.
The sled measures approx. 18" L, X 11 " T, X 8"W. A perfect sled for housing elves, fairies and other works that make Christmas sparkle. I don't usually stop and pick up things, I see them and wonder, but then keep going...this time I couldn't help myself... Isn't it a fun find. I think it's been hand made as opposed to a factory built toy, judging by the workmanship and the weight of it. Most factory ones, are quite light and not able to take a lot of jossling around, but this one is very well made.
