Beetle Babe Challenge

We got the results this morning for the Beetle Babe Challenge on Joggles. If you would like to see all the entries and the winning results, please click on the link and scroll down the page. This was a real test for me as a relatively new doll maker. The pattern was very involved, particularily the Beetle himself, but I did enjoy every step of the way. I had Chinese New Year in mind when I was working on them as you can see in the choice of fabrics. I hadn't up to this point designed any clothing for a doll, but I did design the jacket Babe is wearing. The gloves were relatively easy to do but I thought quite effective. I did the needlework on Babe's bodice and Brody's helmet and added the beads. The feathers, well I just loved the red feathers, so bright bold and beautiful and the ones on the head are far more beautiful than a picture can show. Enjoy.....
